More Nook layouts :)

January has come to an end and let me show you more what I have created with the January Nook kit. This month's kit spells love, romance and it's perfect for everyday theme too.

So here we go...

These are my church kids! They are an awesome bunch. So to remember this special day, I created a girly girl layout. Oh well, we are all girly girl in our own ways! *giggles*

A layout created to remind Mr. Handsome how much I love him :) YES, to remind HIM!

That's my white fur-ball that is always mistaken as a female cat. Lol.

Lastly, a layout I created of me and my buddy, Cindy Lee. She just delivered yesterday! Congrats Cindy on your newborn baby girl :)

A layout for Constantine

I so heart this add-on kit called "Kissing Booth" that I had to create another layout. This time I scrapped about my cute nephew, Constantine. He lost his mom before he turned a year old. He is now 6-year-old. It breaks my heart to see him growing up without a mum. But he is doing well in school and a very happy boy. I really hope that he will grow up and do his mum proud. Always get teary thinking bout this lil nephew of mine :)

Isn't he a cutie?! I will try my best to keep his memories on behalf of his mum and my brother :)

This will be my final layout for Scrappin Studio. It has been an enjoyable ride for a year. Thank you Jaime for believing in me for a year and all the awesome opportunity that you have given me. I got myself a new "stamp"...

YES I have!! Lol. Today's layout is inspired by this beautiful motive that is found in the lotus root. I just love this vegetable :) Let me show you what I have done with it...

Here's a picture of lotus root that has been sliced.

To start, use the lotus root & stamp it on the embossing ink pad. Next pour some embossing powder. Use a heat gun to heat the embossed powder.

Once I am done with the white embossing powder, I tried on the Mix'd Media Ink embossing powder and I was so in awe!

Here's the after effect, look at the colors... beautiful rite?

After that, I did some stamping using the ruler stamp.

I have been struggling with my weight for a very long time. Last year I managed to loose some but guess what I have gained back by year end. Can I blame the yummy food during the festive season? Hehe. So this 2012, I am determine to work out. Get sweat. And my own little word for 2012 is definitely change. I have to change everything... the way I eat & live. I need to get fitter!

An IG friend I met...

Since I joined the Instagram (free app) community, I got to chat and meet so many scrapper friends and also non-scrapper friends too!! My IG friend, Natt Smith aka Tinyatt is having a challenge at her blog. She is one talented scrapper that need to be introduced in the blogger community. Check her out!

The challenge is super simple : to create a project that includes banner(s). It has been a while I actually sat down and created something that is not assignment oriented so I took this opportunity to play along with her challenge. Here's my take...

This layout is about me and my talented friend, Cindy Lee. I went to Penang to visit her and also several friends during Christmas. It was an awesome moment being with her and she is one fire-cracker! Lol. We had a mini photo booth moment and boy, we were crazy-fun! Miss her...

Kissing Booth

I seriously adore this colorful and yet fun add-on Studio Calico kit called Kissing Booth. The colors are a touch of modern-vintage and totally diggin' it! I totally got inspired when I saw this paper by October Afternoon that was filled with lil boys and girls. Hence a "Childhood Love" layout was created...

Eric and I knew each other since we were 7 years old. So our LOVE for each other is something very special to us. This layout is very dear to my heart!

Berry Sweet

Hey it's me again signing in for another layout I have created for Scrappin Studio. This time I used the Studio Calico Jan monthly kit called "County Fair". Well CNY & V-day is coming soon and somehow I have already caught the V-bug hence a love-themed layout is created. Lol. I love all the pink and red in this kit.

For the background, I played with the vertical number stamp and did some light misting. Totally love the chip pie that says "Berry Sweet" :)

My Furry Buddy

I was asked to be excused for the month of December over at Scrappin Studio due to my teacher's training for 3 weeks. Hence I was missing from the blog for the whole December. Lol. Jamie asked if I can design for January 2012 and I said YES! I am gonna miss my time here at Scrappin Studio but will cherish the time I have in January :) Thanks Jamie for the opportunity!

So today I'd like to show you what I have created using Jan Studio Calico kit called County Fair. Once again, it is beautiful and really fun to mix and match!!

This layout is inspired by digital scrapbooking style that I missed alot! I used to do digital scrapbooking but now I am hooked with papers :) Totally adore the wood veneer alpha and of course the vertical number stamp too.

Tuesday Tutorial : Sweet Owls

Hi there! It's my turn at Doodlebug blog today & I'd like to show you how I created those sweet owls on my layout using the latest collection called Sweet Cakes.

Here we go...

These are the papers that we will be using : Hugs & Kisses and Baby Cakes.

1. First get a round object to trace out a circle. Here I used the outer and inner of a masking tape.

2. Cut the circles and "flower-pot"shape for the bodies.

3. Glue the "flower-pot" shape onto the circle.

4. Adhere some glue on either side of the shape. Fold it in.

5. Apply glue at the top and fold it down.

6. Cut a triangle and paste it at the top of the fold.

7. Cut or punch 2 circles for the eyes larger than the mini jewels. Cut another smaller triangle for the nose and you have it, a sweet owl :)

Wow, you ladies are amazing! Thank you so much for dropping by my humble blog and left me lots of love at the last post. Is amazing to start the new year that way, having blogger friends to come by and keep on encouraging me! Thank you my friends!

Over at the Nook in Jan, we have this beautiful kit for ya! It is filled with the new Lily Bee Designs : Head Over Heels collection. Perfect for any theme and of course for V-day :) Today I am back with layouts I created for Nook. I managed to pull 5 layouts in one & half day. It's more of getting my mojo back because I didn't scrap for almost a month and it was tough to start those creative juices coming. My layouts are mostly in blocking style. At least it gave me some sort of push to keep on creating.

That's my baby boo, Tuffie. Somehow we have this special connection with each other. He is especially attached to me and I just love Tuff to bits!!

That's a recent photo of myself and Mr.Handsome! We took it during our lil Christmas break at Penang. How time flies and my hair grew longer, oh well if you noticed. Haha.

My 2011 Fav Layouts

How time flies and we are bidding 2011 farewell soon! 2011 has been very good to me. I am still smiling whenever I think about it. So without further due, let's go thru my fav layouts of the year...

January - This layout is my fav of all favs because I love that man so much and of course the Studio Calico stamps too. This got to be pubbed in the Create: Stamping magazine. How cool eh?

February - Basic Grey has always been one of my fav manufacturer and I created this layout after our V-day celebration.

March - My first time scrapping this pretty girl called Telia. She's the daughter of the scrapping diva, Emeline Seet. It's also my first layout for the Nook kit club. Also glad that it got picked for Create: Families magazine.

April - I still remember that I was sick back then and created this. I really liked how it turned out tho I was feeling so lousy. Lol.

May - Totally diggin' the Studio Calico number stamps and I went all out to do stamping all over and not forgetting misting too. Love how this turned out to be like digital scrapbooking like kinda layout. I miss digital scrapbooking :(

June - That's my friend, Karen Hughes. She is one fun girl to be with. This is my fav mixed media layout because I went to town for the Smooch spritz. I had so much fun creating this whole piece colorful and not forgetting... fabulous!

July - Receiving the Pink Paislee collection from YSS made me go crazy!! I totally love this line because it is so shabby n& romantic. This layout is pubbed in one of the Brazillian book and I am grateful for that.

August - One of my fav using products by Donna Salazar Designs. I am happy that I can pulled off a shabby, pink and romantic layout. It is just so fun to do lotsa fussy cutting. My fav thing to do *wink*

Oh yeah, this got pubbed at ScrapStreet magazine :)

September - Crate Paper : Random has to be my fav this year. Whenever I play with CP, I always get lost. I love their chippies to bits!! I can just pile and pile the chippies... ;p

October - My nephew, Caden is one of the cutest boy I have ever seen. He was so engrossed with his cars that I have to capture the pics. Love all the different paper by My Mind's Eye on this layout.

November - I was given the opportunity to guest for Freehand Scraps and I was given a beautiful kit, mostly filled with Fancy Pants. Cindy came to visit and had a short photo shoot session. I love these photos so much that I have to scrap them :) Another thing to smile about... this got chosen to be featured at 2peas header @ gallery home!

December - Lastly, a layout about our godson, Adam. Love this Doodlebug christmas line : Santa's Workshop. For the past 3 years, we have been spending Christmas with Adam. Unfortunately, this year we couldn't join along. Missed this boy alot. Can't wait to travel with him again :)

So there you go on my 2011 fav layouts. I am glad to go through all my layouts and it definitely brought back alot of wonderful memories. This year, I also got chosen to design for 3 manufacturers ie: Donna Salazar Designs, Doodlebug & Basic Grey. I am still pinching myself for that but am grateful for such opportunities. God is good!

Nook News!

Hey hey! It feels good to be back after a 3 weeks teacher's training! Will talk more about that next time :) So for now, I'd like to share with you the Nook Dec kit that is filled with beautiful papers & embellies mostly from Crate Paper : Peppermint collection :)

Here are my creations that I managed to do before I went for my training...

A card was created using origami folding :)

Created using PINSPO. A tree that was filled with feathers and owls!!

Here's one with my church member, Yvonne. We went for Christmas shopping and saw this beautiful Christmas tree that was filled with paper pink fans and lots of girly details.

This is my cute lil' nephew, Caden. Love this pic of him.

Lastly, a photo of me and my friend, Claire. We got this pic together before we went to watch Ten Thousand Talents playing live at a bistro :)

Mixed Media Background Tutorial

I love to create mixed media background because it is such a "therapy" session for me. Mixed media allows me to create freely. I can just mix and match with all sorts of medium onto a background.

Just a lil insight before I begin. This time round I was inspired by masking tape. My papa is an excellent painter. Well I am referring to painting walls (lol). I remember seeing him using masking tape to get tidy lines. That technique definitely spark an idea! So today I am gonna share with you a step-by-step tutorial on creating a mixed media background...

First, you'll need to trim your background paper to 8.5"x11". Then just do a lil spritzing and stamping. Next you'll need to cover it with masking tape. Position them randomly, just like the example above.

Apply the emboss gloss onto the masking tape.

Then, pour the mix'd media embossing powder onto the masking tape.

Then, get your hot gun out for embossing fun!

Here's the result after the embossing powder is melted.

Get wet wipes and gesso, apply all over the paper. The whole intention is to blend in the masking tape to the paper.

The next fun part is to do masking with doily. Here I use the smooch spritz.

Here's the result after the masking.

Lastly, get a circle template and smooch spritz it another darker color.

Ta daa... here's the completed mixed media background!

For this layout, I played around with the artistic papers. They are just so pretty without any colors. Love the natural look to it :)

A lil update: I have been attending a teachers' training course by the government since last week, hence the silence! I so can't wait for it to end on the 23rd Dec. This 3 weeks training is literally driving me crazy as I am so not in the mode of going through it, kwim? Classes are from 8am to 6 or 7pm daily (no joke) + a replacement on Saturday. There are tons of assignments in between classes and an exam at the end of the course. Basically when I am back, I just don't feel like doing anything. Sigh. But I know it's all for my own good, I am gonna make it thru with God's strength and please say a lil prayer for me will ya? I need all the attention and focus to go through so many new things in the government syllabus ... fyi, I am teaching in a private sector. The government wants us to know what they are doing for the preschools. Anyway, it feels good to let it out! Thanks again for dropping by!

Final projects for YSS

Well, y'all prob heard that Your Scrapbook Stash is closing for business. Yes, they are :(
I got my last YSS DT kit and I was in awe when Erica sent me the new Lily Bee Design : Head Over Heels collection. It was beautiful!! I just couldn't stop creating. No kidding! Perfect for any theme - love to everyday theme :)

Love / Valentine's theme: We took this self-potrait when we celebrated Valentine's this year.

Book Of Me theme: Just a way to remind myself that I am 31 this year :)

Friendship theme: I am very blessed to know a friend like Emeline! A layout to treasure our friendship and hope it will last for a long time...hmm...forever sounds better. Lol.

Everyday theme: My friend and her children came to visit us and what better way to scrap all those fun and happy moments, eh?

Hi Ladies!! This is Eric in the house! (or more commonly known as Mr. Handsome, LOL!)

I've decided to hijack my wife's blog today (while she's busy checkin out online clothing stores, haha..) because I really need your support ladies! Please allow me to tell you a bit on what is going on over here.

I have a band called Ten Thousand Talents and we have been around for more than a year now in the local (Malaysian) music scene. You can check out our facebook page for some description of what we truly believe & what we are after. We have had gigs every now & then around the city, but nothing big or significant yet. However, just earlier this week, we were contacted by one of the largest organizers in town, these guys organize the annual Rock The World (RTW) event, which is the biggest rock music event in Malaysia, about 10,000 to 15,000 people show up each time it is held! These organizers are trying to find 1 more band to play along with the 'big boys' (18 of them), so they shortlisted 5 bands from the hundreds that applied, and my band is among the top 5! Voting will determine which of the 5 will get the spot!

Create Your Own Stamp!

Hey peeps! I’m excited to be here sharing with you something new I recently discovered via pinterest. Once I discovered the different type of print, I was immediately drawn to it. Let me show you how I created mine...

For this project, all you need is a block/thick foam/acrylic block (as base), paint and yarn/twine.

Tie a knot at the back of the base.

Randomly wrap the twine to the base into a zig-zag pattern.

Next apply paint and stamp it on your background paper.

Here's the result. Fun eh?

Next, I used the SC Mister Huey to create masking by using leftover foam dots.

Ta daa... here's my completed layout!

Layout was created using the Studio Calico Nov Handmade kit.

Fan-Fold Christmas Tree

Hello again! I love Christmas tree so much that I have to create another one for my Donna Salazar DT assignment again *giggles*. If you haven't seen 2 of my Christmas trees that I designed earlier, you may click HERE & HERE!

Have you started on your Christmas card? If you haven't, I have a card that is very simple to create :)

The tree on this card is very simple to create. Just fan-fold each strip and arrange them from the longest to the shortest. Voila... you got yourself a card!

Remember to sprinkle some Donna's Fairy Dust glitters on the tree for that beautiful snowy effect & also some spritz for that sparkly look :) Christmas is coming soon & I am so excited!!

Freehand Scraps Projects

It's time to show you what I have created with the Freehand Scraps kit named Sweather Weather that I am guesting this month. The kit is so beautiful and I had so much fun playing with it. After creating a few projects I still have lots to play. So without further a due, here are the projects...

This card says it all... to count your blessings! I am grateful for everything that has happened & going to happen in my life. Each time, God surprises me with new things, new opportunities and in fact new friends! He just knows how to put a smile on my face :) What a mighty GOD we serve. Amen!

This is an altered sushi tray that I transformed it into a photo frame. I love hunting for wooden household products and made them into fun crafty pieces :)

My girlfriend, Cindy aka the famous card-maker from Penang came to visit us last October. We had so much fun even-though it was only for 1.5 days together! I do wish it was longer... maybe next time! We had a lil photoshoot and the best way to treasure all these memories is to scrap them, rite?

When my close friends & family came to visit me last October, I brought them to the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park in Malaysia. It was such a beautiful adventure. In the park, we kept bumping into peacocks. The peacocks were allowed to roam freely in the park. Isn't that amazing?

Guess what, my Christmas altered project is inspired by this flightless bird - Peacock. I love Christmas tree and thought I should do one with a peacock-like.

An altered frame project using Weathered Winter collection.
I so love the rich green & red color on this collection.

Here are the step-by-step...

First, you need to die-cut 10 leaves using the Rose Creations leaf die.

Next, apply glue gloss at the edge of the leaves.

Followed by the Fairy Dust Glitter. Just sprinkle a generous amount. Love this stuff!

Here's how it will looked like. The fairy dust gives you the snow-effect.

Ok the next step is to cover the frame with Mix'd Media. You might need to leave the frame overnight to dry it or you can use the heat gun to fasten the drying time.

Finally, I used one the Creative Book Pages die to stencil the edges of the frame by using a circle blender dabbed with Clearsnap ink. Finished it with a Smooch Spritz Vanilla Shimmer.

It's perfect for a Christmas deco or simply a Christmas gift for a friend who appreciates Asian flair :)

Layout Tutorial & Guesting for Freehand Scraps

Hi there! I was invited by Elaine from Freehand Scraps to be Nov Guest Designer. She sent me a beautiful kit called Sweather Weather. This kit is just so pretty!! Perfect for fall, thanksgiving and everyday theme too :)

So here I am again to show you a simple tutorial on how I created one of my layout.

I really love this particular paper from Fancy Pants. The frames really attracted my attention. And I also love the back of the patterned paper too. So I came up with a perfect solution - to use them together.

What I did was to cut the paper almost into half. The back of the paper (green) I turned it to the front and voila - you can have the best of both paper :) Layered it with a kraft cardstock. In the middle, I "joined" it with a strip of border punch.

Next, you'll need to stick the shown sticker onto a transparency, cut the outline. The reason why I used a transparency because it's clear and I wanted to cut the sticker into half. You can always opt for paper.

Cut these 2 brackets from the cards paper.

Ta daa... here's the completed layout...

From this layout, you can clearly see how I assembled all the papers & embellishments together.

I used the Cosmo Cricket's Tiny Text as part of my journaling. To raise the tiny text, I adhered foam dots.

I seriously adore the wood ruler and also the crochet flower. The button by Epiphany Craft is so cute!

And here is the project I created for this hop...

A winter-wonderland altered frame created using Donna Salazar's winter collection called Weathered Winter :)

I am going to show you two simple tutorials on how I created this altered frame :)

Firstly, on how I covered the frame with the glitters.

Once you are done with the painting and stamping on the frame. Fyi, I used the awesome Cat's Eye Chalk by Clearsnap for the stamping.

Next, get a double-sided tape and tape all around the edges of the frame.

Peel off all the tapes and sprinkle Donna Salazar's Fairy Dust Glitter to create "sparkly snow" effect.

Here's what you will get. A frame filled with fine glitters. Pretty eh?

I did the same for the Christmas tree, the only thing was I used Glue Gloss by Clearsnap instead of double-sided tape. Remember to sprinkle the fairy dust *wink*

Now I will show you how I created the Christmas tree...

Firstly, cut your papers into 5 squares. Mine started with 5", followed by 4", 3.5", 3" and finally 2.5".

You can always make it bigger or even smaller, depending on how big you want your tree to be.

I punched one of the edges using the border punch.

Fold the opposite point to the other opposite point. Into a shape of a triangle. Repeat with the other corners.

You should have an "x" in your square.

Next fold the opposite in this manner, into a shape of rectangle.

Repeat with the other corners.

With your square, "pinch" the sides of one quarter of the

"x" to create a triangle.

Side view.

This is how it will look like from the top view.

Stack up all the folded squares in descending orders, beginning with the largest square.

Today I'd like to show you a layout I created using the October kit that is filled with the gorgeous-sparkling-amazing My Mind's Eye Lost & Found 2. I adore my two furkids equally but today I wanna show you one of them. This is Tobes and he is the most adorable cat and we still think that he acts like a dog sometimes. Thank You card

I love browsing thru everything Donna has created in all her collection and I find them very interesting especially her choice of colors. This time round, I wanted to play with the butterfly die called Wonderful Wings (drop dead gorgeous) and while browsing the papers, I came across (again) this pretty paper in the Spring In Bloom collection. That paper is filled with butterflies at the corner and immediately I knew what to do... a thank you card! Imagine the light bulb above my head. Lol.

The rose creations die is one of my fav flower from Donna's dies. The new Smooch color is perfect for the flower... swoon!

Friendship Layout

It always feels good to be back at this blog. Love what my co-DTs have been creating lately HERE. Today, I am going to show you what I created. This time round I got to use the add-on kit called Meadow Lark. I love the fall colors in this kit but too bad, Malaysia doesn't have fall. So I decided to use the colors for a friendship layout. I love it!! (at least to me. lol)

That beautiful mom-to-be, Cindy is one of my good friend and I am glad that we met in this creative industry. She is sweet and very down to earth gal who loves eating! My kinda gal *giggles*

I love any type of wooden products simply because I can alter them!! A couple days back I decided to alter this cute sushi tray that also acted up as a shadow box. Perfect for a special friend called Cindy Lee who loves butterfly to bits!

Created this using the Studio Calico Oct "Field Guide" kit :) The sides of the frame is covered using washi tape. Pretty cool eh?! Totally loving the colors too, pastel and pretty... and everything nice!

Mix'd Media Background Tutorial

Since young, I was taught to express my gratitude or simply to utter the word "thank you" to those who helped, encouraged or inspired me! I know Thanksgiving is around the corner & what perfect way to document my gratitude to the one I adore and love everyday... well , besides God!

So I decided to create something fun + inspired by Fall colors using Donna Salazar's new Mix'd Media Inks & Smooch Spritz too = a mixed media background. Yaays!

Here we go...

First, get a cardstock and turn the Mix'd Media Ink around and start to stamp randomly.

Next, get a toilet roll and use Smooch Spritz to spray to create more circle.

Next, continue it with applying some gesso on the brayer. Roll it on the cardstock.

Tip: to give subtle look to the gesso, you can spray water over the gesso before rolling in on the cardstock.

Here is how it will looked like :)

To create more fun to your background, you can do some bubble stamping!

I love a lil Smooch dripping on my layout, so I took out Zutter's clear acrylic to use as a tool. I spritzed Smooch + water on it.

Tilt the clear acrylic & allow it to drip it to your background.

Tip: Spray water to dilute the Smooch.

To paint the branch & leaves on the artistic collection, I used a paintbrush along with Mix'd Media ink + Smooch to paint :)

This is my Mr.Handsome who never fails to love & provide for me from the moment we met. I love him dearly!

I am back...

Hey peeps!! I am back again at my blog and it feels good :) Of course what's the point of coming back without photos and updates rite? Hehe. Today I wanna share with you what I created for Scrappin Studio using Studio Calico "Glee Club" kit & also a sneak what I did for my first assignment for Basic Grey :)

Hello... my name is Jessy and I am a foodie or also known as food face. lol. I love good food & of course good drink too! When I was in Singapore last month, I got to try this awesome drink called "Koi"... oh snap, it was so yums! The whole drink was filled with pearls (edible ones ok?) and I truly enjoyed it! Pretty similar to bubble tea but it is special in its own way! So this time I decided to document this special-yummy-drink :)

YSS : Amazing Mini Album

Hey there! I am back to share with you a mini album I created for Yourscrapbookstash.com using the beautiful Authentique Paper : Uncommon collection. I seriously adore the colors. Pretty much into grey lately and I am glad that Uncommon collection has grey. As I was deciding what photos to use, suddenly recall that I actually do not have a wedding album. I have done one but that was entirely black and white. Immediately decided to do another album with my wedding photos. So without further ado, let me share with you what I created and I hope that you like it :)

Never Change

In life there are many changes. Lives around us can change. People we love can change. But I thing I truly believe is a strong friendship/relationship, if they are kept well... it will take a long time to change or it will NEVER change!

I am blessed with many friends in life and one of them is my bestie, Wati. She is generous in many ways and she is such a fun person to be with! The best part, she is a scrapbooker too. How awesome can that be! This layout definitely talks about our friendship & how this friendship will last for a long time. We have a strong friendship foundation - that is faith & trust for each other! What makes it even sweeter, our hubbies are good friends too. Their only son, Adam is our god-son! Isn't that wonderful? And it all started with meeting Wati in a scrapbook forum... and the rest is history...

For the Want2Scrap chipboard, I dressed it up using the Smooch Spritz and I love the color, it looked rustic and glittery too!

Totally loving a little fall theme on this layout... don't you think the colors resemble fall?

That English roses are prob my fave image. I have been using them frequently if you notice *wink* Hope you love what you see here because I always have so much fun to use Donna's products to create. They are very simple to mix and match around :)

YSS Updates!

First off, I would like to thank YOU for taking the time to drop by at the blog, Facebook, Instagram & also friends texted me to give me your best wishes on my new manufacturer DT gigs. Still pinching myself for getting 2 AWESOME news in a week :) I am blessed!

Ok, I would like to show you what I got for my DT kit from Your Scrapbook Stash. It was super yummylicious! It's a mixture of Crate Paper: Random, Echo Park: Happy Days & We R Memory Keepers: Travel Light + May Arts & Maya Road goodies. I almost fainted when I saw this gorgeous kit and someone actually asked me where I got the kit. Lol.

Last Friday to Sunday, Mr Handsome & I went to surprise our beloved friend, Wati & her son, Adam at Singapore. Her hubby, Chris was on our side. Lol. This time round, we went all the way to her office to punk'd her. It was priceless to see her reaction! But it was a good catch up :) Missing them already!

It was a fruitful trip because I got to meet my lovely gf, Emeline and also my mother-to-be buddy, Radha at Singapore too :) Not forgetting all the yummy food we ate... slurp!

Next, it's a 2 page layout that I created using Crate Paper: Random collection. I love this collection to bits! This is my second time making a 2 page layout so please be kind to me :) In the photos, are my cousins and my Popo. Oh yeah, you can check out the sketch for the above layout HERE!

Lastly, here's a card I created using the Echo Park: Happy Days collection. This is such a pretty collection! I love the happy-retro-colorful look.

Hey peeps! Guess what... I am part of Basic Grey DT and I am still pinching myself when Melanie Bauer sent me an email that BG wants me to be in the team. This is gonna be an interesting ride. Happy Fall Card

When I got to know that we will create "Fall" theme this time round, I was kinda intimidated because in Malaysia we do not have Fall season. I have seen this season on the internet, in the movies and magazines. I really do love the fall season, hope to experience it someday! So I decided to show you how I created this fall card using Donna Salazar's fab products + with a pop-up tree on the inside :)

Here is the tutorial of creating a fall pop-up card...

First you need a card base of this size: 30.5cm x 11cm. Fold them into half.

To create the pop-up base, cut a 13cm strip of cardstock, then score it 1cm from the edge & followed by 3cm from the edge (ie: the gap between the 2 scores is 2cm) on the both sides of the strip.

Fold all the scored lines and adhere it to the card base just like the picture shown.

Remember to spritz the smooch to create the red background.

To create the tree, I used Donna's corrugated board as a trunk. Distressed it with Clearsnap ink for a natural look. Once you are done, paste it to the pop-up base.

Here I used dies to create my leaves and one of the leaf die is from Donna's collection called Rose Creations. Layer all the leaves until you are happy :)

DIY Notepad

Today I am on MC because I am so under the weather. Feeling just a hint better now but do hope that I will recover by tomorrow. So today I am gonna keep my post simple and sweet :)

It has been a while I last created a notepad for myself to scribble or to jot down notes/ideas. So I decided to make one. It's pretty simple if you have a Zutter Bind-it-All. Get 2 hard chipboards or Donna Salazar's corrugated board as covers, Owire, cut plain papers and you are good to go. Guess what, you can get most of the mentioned above at the Scrappin Studio store, awesome eh?!

Here's my new notepad using the September Main kit "Glee Club"...

I have also created pockets that I can fill them up with tags. Why tags you may ask? I love to leave sweet notes :) You can always stamp it or use scraps to decorate them. Or I can store any ideas that may pop up like magazine pages, flyers, etc.

just SCRAP it

Every week at the Nook forum, there are tons of fun challenges - ranging from card to layout and sometimes we do have altered projects too. I am in charge over at the Cards section and this week I was assigned with this challenge: just SCRAP it - snap a pic of your scrap pile and create card(s). Managed to create 3 cards and I am so glad I did!

Another Green!

Well, you can't blame me for playing with green again?! Board Walk kit is full of shade of green and I just love that. You know me and green, no?! This will be my last green layout at the moment unless SC decided to have more green... *giggles*

During the Eid celebration, I visited my Muslim cousins. My lil nephew, Darriesh is my fav lil one there! He is 2. He has such big round eyes and he looks too cute that I have to grab that lil fella & click! Of course to remember this lil fella, I have to scrap. Period.

When I was approached a couple months back by the Scrapbook News & Review Coordinator I was so thrilled. I was asked to create a project and they want me to be featured. Of course, I said YES! Decided to share it at my blog too because I know not everyone is SNR member :) You can view more HERE!

Here are the instructions of my project...

Here is a pic of Claudine Hellmuth medium.

First, you’ll have to spread the medium evenly onto apatterned paper. Apply generously.

Next, repeat the same process onto a cardstock. Spread itevenly.

Paste the patterned paper onto a cardstock. Use a card toburnish the paper to the cardstock. Do that several times.

Use a spray bottle that filled with water to wet thepatterned paper.

After spraying the water, rub off the core of the patternedpaper until you the pattern. Repeat it as you go.

This is how it will look like. Leave it to dry.

You can further enhance the background by doing masking,misting and inking. Leave it to dry again and embellish the layout.

This layout was created using Nook August Kit that is filled with awesome MME Lime Twist collection. Love the bold and bright colors :)

Altered Mini Album

Hey hey! It's me again. I am back to share with you a fun step-by-step of making a mini album I created for YSS. I wanted to make it a mini one this time round and guess what I found... a card case. Thought it would be totally cool to fit a mini album into a card case! Let me show you how...

Here's the card case I was talking about. Basically you can work with any card case, mine is an aluminum one I got at the dollar store :)

First, I cut a strip of 3.5" x 12" kraft cardstock. Then I kept scoring at 2 1/4" as I go.

You will get an accordion album with 5 panels & also the lil flap at the end.

Next, I took out Tattered Angels Mist for some fun. I used two colors Chalkboard, Firefly & Glimmer Mist, Rum Punch. For this I used a negative of a foam dots as my stencil.

Here's the effect of two colors. Lovely isn't it? I also inked the edges and the scored lines. Once you are done, you can start to embellish the card case and also the accordion album :)

Ta daa....

A perfect mini to remember a fun day! Totally cool for a summer project & also for using up those stash :) Adore those Crate Paper chippies & alpha sheet!

Remember the lil flap? I decided to punch it and it acted as a closure.

Here is how it looks inside. I used the Crate Paper - Neighborhood collection. You can get them in the YSS store and it is on sales too :)

My Sweet Love

Hey lovely peeps! I am back again. It's always good to be back to "meet-up" with ya'll!

Today I'd like to share with you a layout I created using the sweet color PINK. I love ALL Donna's papers and she is awesome with colors too. I wanted to go a lil pastel & romantic theme this time round. So when I flipped thru the 12x12 Spring in Bloom pad, I knew that this paper has to be it! I immediately grab my scissors and did all the fussy cutting I needed. Heart the roses to bits!

Here's the completed layout...

Mr.Handsome and I got married 6 years ago. Still enjoying our married life. I am super blessed to have someone to hold, to giggle at (lol) and just someone to give me all the TLC I need. Bliss!

As you can see, for the background paper, I did some masking using stencils and also light script stamping. And also used the border punch around the paper.

I heart the carnation creations die set that Donna designed. To create the fluffy flower, I die cut them on tissue paper. What better way to pair them with all the fussy-cut roses. Perfecto! Oh look at that butterfly, that is just so pretty! Donna has eyes for awesome details, I tell ya...

Clearsnap inks are awesome to work with. They work perfectly on clear stamp and also for distressing edges. I adore that english tea cup and ain't the angel button cute resting on the cup?!

Lastly, that paper mannequin completes my layout besides that awesome couple *giggles*. Hope you enjoy today's post and thanks so much for peeking and leaving lovely comments :)

Papa's Gal

I have always been a Papa's girl since young, he has a special bond with me and the rest of my siblings which I really love about my Papa. When I was browsing my photos, I saw this photo of me and my Papa and decided to scrap about it again. I often repeat my photos especially the ones that I really love.

So here's another green-ish layout by me, you should know me and the color green... rite? Remember that this month's kit "Board Walk" is filled with green?! Giggles.

That flower was created using the Pink Paislee mistables. I had so much fun misting and blending the colors. I can't get enough of the green twine... lovely! Heart that Basic Grey brad too.

Always adore SC selections with the alphabet! They have eye for them :)

Seriously love the effect of the paint splatters. I was glad to play with paint, also did stamping with the Studio Calico round stamp & also some masking using doily.

Miss Art's Papercrafting School

I knew about Miss Art's Papercrafting School for a while now and I've checked out the site in the past. It is so cool & they have awesome instructors there! Guess what I was contacted by Alyssa McGrew, owner/headmistress of Miss Art's last month. She asked if I am interested to conduct online classes in her school and boy, I was so excited and also so freakin' nervous cause I have never tried video classes before. I have taught in my LSS and other LSS for 2 years but never will I imagine doing it online. I always tell my K2 students that whatever is being thrown in your way/life, you must try first before giving up. So Teacher Jessy is living to her words and gathered all the courage to say a HUGE "YES"!! My classes will be somewhere end of the year and am looking forward to it. You can see me HERE :)

Ok, I have something exciting for you from Miss Art's Papercrafting. Here we go...
